Everything Changes

Today's wisdom card tells me:
Everything Changes.
Everything changes..... your body, mind and relationships all change.
When you realize this fact, you can discard useless attachments, and become genuinely humble about everything in life.

Just like the river flows, so those changes in your life.... it is never the same for good or bad but once you accept that this is just the fact of life.. reality become more bearable and will begin to enjoy life more. Things happen for a reason, no one knows why but they show us where to go and what to do.

Acceptance of change will bring inner peace if you let go and just like a river, go with the flow....

Fiery Red, Native Indian Wisdoms

Red in Darkness

As you may know or not know, Monday was a day of hell at work, not so much the people or the work but just the hassle of the production issue we had and that I had to deal with. It is a long story, but to make it brief it was a very frustrating day for me yesterday. I got home, did some work on the computer as usual. I was so involved what I was doing that I completely forgot to watch Heros.
I wanted to paint what I was feeling and my sister mentioned the color red and that hit the spot. That is how I felt.. trapped in Red in darkness, hence the painting above.

Now this brings me to another thought or inspiration that we tend to forget. The native indians had so much wisdom and their rituals actually meant something. All of their ritual were tied to mother earth or your soul and spirits.

I found this somewhere on the internet

Love and the cycle of life were sacred matters to the Native American. Knowledge about his world was passed to an Indian child by his parents and tribal elders, but his true wisdom came from visions, dreams and the whispers he heard from every living thing and element with which he came in contact during his life. His heart and ear were always listening for the soft voice of the wind in the pine, the mournful song of the coyote or the gentle laughter that danced on the ripples in the brook. He heard words in the soft breathing of his newborn child, the stirrings of his sleeping wife, and the wrinkles in the faces of his grandparents. Everything spoke to him and he held great respect for all life. Here are a few of my favorite words of wisdom and love.

I know that I have been blogging more on philosophy and inspiration, but isn't that an adventure in itself? Are we not in an adventure in finding ourselves?
I promise I will be blogging more on my future adventure, training, coaching..and some interesting certification that I am planning to acquire.

Take care
Shine bright lights!!
Danny

I have an eye on you.

Noting that the eyes have long been described as mirrors of the soul, it is one aspect of a person that most people tend to shy away from. It is, no punt intended, overlooked in a person.

When you truly know someone, it is the eyes that tells you volumes about that person. More then words can tell. It is the first thing that I notice in a person.

(the eye is actually my cousin's Bibiana's eye, that I took awhile ago)

This brings me to today's Wisdom card:

Use Life:
You can never know how life began or from where it originated. But you have the right and responsibility to choose how you will use this life and what purpose you will use it for.

Dreams and Wisdom

Today wisdom card tells me:
You are what you choose: Never forget that you have the power to choose anything. Recover that power then nothing in this world can torment you. all you have to do is live according to your choices. You are what you choose.

This is a drawing I made awhile ago. One of the strangest thing I dream about these red ape like being that are so menacing that they can eat brick from the building. I woke up one day and went out and saw hundreds of these apes like creation eating all the building. They were red in color. I don't know what it means, but I also did not feel any emotions about it. It was one of most interesting dreams I have had.

What is your strangest dreams?

Don't be Trapped in the body

Today my wisdom cards says
Don't be trapped in the body: You are trapped in your body when you are ignorant of the soul.
Your body becomes a tool fo infinite creation only when you become aware of the existence of the soul.

May my search through Nature bring me to myself......

Danny on the Na Pali coast Trail in Kauai

As I look back at 2008... I can't help to think what I have accomplished or have not accomplished. Everything I have done seem not to be enough. I believe I have failed in some areas and gain in other areas. I have definitely have gain great success physically, but financially, mentally and spiritually, I have not gain anything.
So this year.. I am giving myself reachable goals.
1. Save to buy a house near my parents home
2. Keep searching for myself at a deeper spiritual level.
3. Pick up painting and drawing again. I have not done it in years and I used to be so good, in fact that was my major in College the first year. I need to Jump start my creative juices...So I am thinking of paining or drawing one piece a month.
4. Save more money and stop spending like a crazy man
5. Attempt to run 1 marathon a month if it is not that expensive.
6. Keep and maintain my fitness level

Life is short, no matter what.. do what your heart tells you. You dont want to have regrets later in life.
Understand people better... not everyone will be like you or believe in the same philosphy as you. Understand that we are all different. To each thier own and we all have to accept that. We can agree to disagree.

To me life is an adventure and your life is an accumlation of memories and journey that you undertake your life.
As I always say.. what do you want people to say about you when you turn 80? what can they say?
I hope people will say... man.. he looks good, he has lived his life to the fullest and experienced a lot. What an inspiration. He has done it all. I want to be like that....

Think and reflect back at your life, now think ahead of your life and contemplate, as to what you want out of this life. You only have one chance, one life.... make it count. How will you leave your mark in this world when you leave?

Inspiration

When i am blue and feeling down or when people just seem not to care, this is what I read to myself.
When you are feeling alone like no one cares, read this because its absolutely true:
Every night, someone thinks about you before they go to sleep. At least fifteen people in this world love you. The only reason someone would ever hate you is because they want to be just like you. There are at least two people in this world that would die for you. You mean the world to someone. Someone that you don't even know exists loves you. When you make the biggest mistake ever, something good comes from it. When you think the world has turned its back on you, take a look. Always remember the compliments you've received. Forget the rude remarks.

Take care and good luck

Be Yourself

I am not sure how I came across this, but this hits the spot

Use what you have. Use everything you have, and that includes your past and who you are as a person.
You may not be an athlete. Running may be the first sport you’ve ever done seriously. Even so, there are things in your past that can be helpful to you now. Think about what those things could be. Find them, and put them to use in your running.
You may have been a great athlete when you were younger, only your sports were baseball and basketball, not running. Nevertheless, there are things in your past that can be applied to running.
Your mom or dad may have taught you something as a kid. Something may have happened to you 20 years ago that still speaks to you today. If so, put it to use. All your past plays a part in forming who you are. Some past events are negative. Becoming aware of yourself also means becoming aware of the negative patterns that have shaped your life and how you can change them.
You are who you are. And who you are is quite unique. No one else has your individual experiences, past, knowledge. You’re a resource larger than the internet, and you’re all there, available for the taking. Tap into those internal resources, and make yourself the runner you want to be.

Staying Positive

It is blizzard like condition outside. Blowing snow, cloudy, and depressing. Staying positive is a key to happiness and hope. In the midst of weather or personal challenges, it is ideal that you stay positive. A positive attitude will bring forth great success.
Not sure where I found this, but I believe in this.
  • Facing a Challenge
Most people quit. I will not quit. I am a fighter. I can do it.
This is easy. I am going to enjoy doing this.
This is nothing. I am up for the challenge.
I will succeed. It is just a matter of time.
This problem is an opportunity to be creative.
  • Reduce Worry and Frustration
I am living in the peace of God.
Order and balance emerge from my every problem.
I can feel stillness in this chaos.
I make the best out of the worst of situations.
    I love a challenge.
  • Being Happy
    I have a healthy attitude.
I am awestruck with the beauty of creation.
I choose to be happy right now.

Positive attitude is all about the way you think. You are what you think. Remove all negativity by thinking positive.

Peace

Inspirational Qoute of the Day

Here is a really good one, that I truly believe in.

Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things that you didn’t do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover. - Mark Twain
